These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Bethany Sydney mobile application (the "App"), operated by Bethany Sydney ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
The App is intended for members and invited guests of Bethany Sydney Church. Registration requires a pre-approved invitation from the church office. You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these Terms, misuse church systems, or are no longer associated with the congregation, subject to pastoral or administrative discretion.
You agree to use the App only for lawful, church-related purposes. You must not:
Content in the App (sermons, devotionals, bulletins, rosters, announcements, and similar materials) is provided for the Bethany Sydney congregation. Unless we expressly permit otherwise, you must not redistribute church content outside the App for commercial use or public republication.
Ministry leaders who edit shared content (song lists, rosters, events, Sunday School posts, etc.) must do so responsibly and in line with church policies.
The App integrates third-party services, including YouTube API Services and embedded YouTube players (for example Bethany Sydney Worship videos, sermon-related content, and ministry planning tools that search for or link to YouTube videos).
By using any YouTube-related feature in the App, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.
YouTube is a third party not controlled by Bethany Sydney. We do not guarantee the availability, accuracy, or continued presence of any YouTube content linked or displayed in the App. YouTube trademarks and branding belong to their respective owners.
Other third-party services (including Google Firebase, Google Gemini, Algolia, and Zoom) are subject to their own terms and privacy practices. Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle your personal data, and information handled through Google services is subject to the Google Privacy Policy.
The App, its design, and church-provided materials are owned by or licensed to Bethany Sydney. Your use of the App does not grant you ownership of any intellectual property in the App or its content.
The App is provided "as is" for church community use. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Meeting transcriptions, AI summaries, search results, and similar automated outputs may contain errors. They are aids for church administration only and should not be relied on as official legal, medical, or financial advice.
To the fullest extent permitted by Australian law, Bethany Sydney and its leaders, staff, and volunteers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App or any third-party service accessed through it.
We may update the App or these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
You may stop using the App at any time. To request deletion of your account and associated personal data, contact admin@bethanysydney.org.au. We may discontinue the App or your access where required for security, compliance, or church administration.
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
